YL009 - TRONDHEIM TO:EN
To:en — Museum in Trondheim. A cultural loop inspired by Norse mythology. The project merges two museums into one continuous ring — referencing Viking ships, rope knots, and the myth of Jörmungandr, the serpent encircling the world. At its core, a glass tower evokes Yggdrasil, the cosmic tree of life connecting all realms. The timber facade, twisted like nautical rope, reflects tradition, craft, and movement. Nestled within Trondheim’s pedestrian and cultural routes, to:en is more than a museum — it’s a civic platform and spatial narrative. Architecture, myth, and people intersect in an open, non-linear experience that invites exploration, connection, and transformation.
