Project:
The Unfolded Museum
MG274 - TRONDHEIM THE UNFOLDED MUSEUM
Our museum proposal redefines cultural infrastructure as a network of open, extroverted, sustainable, and revenue-generating spaces. Fragmented architectural volumes under a unifying canopy invite urban life while supporting research, conservation, and inclusive dialogue. The design integrates cafés, shops, rentals, and educational programs to ensure financial sustainability. Passive and active strategies respond to Norway’s climate, including thermal mass, daylighting, smart HVAC, and rainwater harvesting. This is a future-proof museum: rooted in heritage, adaptable and accessible.
