Museunderground

CS063 - TRONDHEIM MUSEUNDERGROUND
Museunderground transforms Trondheim’s city center by turning an obsolete parking slab into a civic landscape that merges museum, park, and public square. The museum is hidden underground, preserving open space above with green areas, playgrounds, and walkable surfaces. Light wells and domes bring daylight below. The project emphasizes ecological responsibility, adaptive reuse, and urban vitality, offering spaces for art, leisure, and community life. It proposes a new model for cultural spaces—permeable, inclusive, and integrated into everyday urban rhythms.
