PV836 - TRONDHEIM MUSEUMS BEYOND WALLS BERGKRYSTALLEN
This museum proposal for Trondheim focuses on a design that re-sources the former parking garage into a connected cultural space. The architectural massing reflects the city’s gabled roofscape and draws from the idea of a “bergkrystal.” Elevated gallery volumes emerge from the base structures to form a new public arena. The design aligns with nearby landmarks and city routes, creating a continuous flow through the site. A central cultural spine acts as the main circulation and connects interior and exterior spaces. The museum remains open to the city, with multiple access points, flexible gallery paths, and public areas that support exhibitions, biennales, markets, events, and everyday use.
