Project:
Allemansratten
In Norwegian culture Allemansrätten indicates the right of everyone to access nature. We believe public space is an Allemansrätten too. Acknowledging its value for communities and putting urbanism at the centre of democratic processes are key aspects to design living cities. We propose to work on Risøy setting a framework for an inclusive place making trajectory, structured around three elements that make a living city: vibrant neighbourhood, resilient landscape and sustainable mobility. After setting long term goals, the project will be implemented through four pilot projects. Short term actions will drive change through a learning process able to adapt to evolving conditions, initiating a positive domino effect that will gradually transform the larger urban context.
