Project:
A place for the work and the human being
DL030 - TRONDHEIM A PLACE FOR THE WORK AND THE HUMAN BEING
The Art Museum of My Dreams presents Rémy Zaugg’s vision of the museum, he contrasts the traditional museum, seen as a mere accumulation of objects, with a living space where the artwork and the viewer interact in a dynamic, perceptual process. This concept inspires the creation of this museum, born from the merger of two art institutions. The museum acts as an urban catalyst, revitalizing the Midtbyen district. More than a place for conservation and display, the museum aims to be a vibrant public space. It reflects a dual mission: protecting artworks while enhancing their intimate and perceptive experience. The project incorporates the existing underground parking structure, using it as both material and resource to forge a lasting connection between the city, people, and art.
