Project:
Trondheims flyttblokker. The Museum Across the City.
UH851 - TRONDHEIM TRONDHEIMS FLYTTBLOKKER. THE MUSEUM ACROSS THE CITY.
This proposal imagines a museum without a front door—open, evolving, and fully integrated into the city. A wooden canopy shelters a porous ground floor filled with daylight and public life: workshops, exhibitions, cafés, performances. Four compact volumes hold core functions like exhibitions and archives, while the former underground car park becomes a visible site of museum production. Scattered sculptural “boulders” appear across Trondheim, extending the museum into everyday spaces. Rather than a finished object, the museum is a flexible framework—open to change, collaboration, and future redefinition.
