The open cultural center

The proposal titled: “The Open Cultural Center” reconsiders the relationship between cultural production and the city through a sequence of continuously diversified interventions on the edges of the site, within the park axis and the existing courtyards. The interventions work as urban interfaces that subtly orchestrate activities and situations, linking either programmatically or spatially the area under study and providing places for diversity, creativity and solidarity among citizens. Taking into consideration the historical character of Levanger as well as its various cultural facilities, either privately or publicly owned, the proposal sets out a path of adapting existing conditions and placing them into a wider narrative. The narrative should be read as a first layout setting the rhythm for future arrangements.
