MB151 - PAST FORWARD
The project approaches the ‘Tabula Non-Rasa’ motive, with acknowledgement of its complexity. We divide it into sub-themes and focus on connectivity, cultural integration, and resilience. Our proposal considers Krøgenes’ industrial heritage, while embracing sustainable progress. New housing units come to life, but adaptive reuse preserves the district’s industrial roots. Reorienting towards the waterfronts, highlights the area’s natural beauty. Reintroduced green and blue structures enhance ecological resilience and improve stormwater management. Numerous new public spaces cater to diverse needs, and foster social interactions. Our architectural harmony aims to blend tradition with modern building techniques, in order to envision vibrant, entrenched, forward-looking Krøgenes.
