Project:
Next age: Re-sourcing urban life

VF807 - ROA NEXT AGE: RE-SOURCING URBAN LIFE
This proposal reimagines Roa as a resilient, inclusive town by positioning active aging as a catalyst for urban transformation. By densifying its centre, reclaiming the Vigga River as a cultural and ecological spine, and fostering walkable, intergenerational spaces, Roa becomes a model for small-town renewal. Key strategies include pedestrian-first mobility, adaptable housing, and creative hubs that attract diverse demographics. The transformation follows a financially responsible, phased approach—strategically sequencing interventions to ensure long-term investment and impact, proving that aging can drive a vibrant, multi-generational future.
