Project:
MiST U2
LN514 - TRONDHEIM MiST U2
MiST U2 challenges the typical closed museum model by placing all exhibition spaces underground, using the existing parking structure’s generous height. This creates flexible, light-protected galleries while keeping the surface open and active. The freed-up ground plane fosters urban life, preserving existing circulation and enhancing connections with Trøndelag Teater. The preserved section of Leutenhaven becomes a revitalized public gathering space, supporting the museum’s extroverted role and encouraging synergy with neighboring institutions and city life.
