MIST: A Living Museum
CL835 - TRONDHEIM MIST: A LIVING MUSEUM
MIST: A Living Museum reimagines Trondheim’s Midtbyen as a living ecological landmark—an adaptive civic space where culture, nature, and community converge. More than a museum, it is an open framework that unites art, education, and public life through a dynamic interplay of light, timber, and landscape. Mass timber structures evoke Trondheim’s wooden heritage, while layered natural light animates interiors attuned to seasonal rhythms. A central garden acts as a shared civic commons, blending ecological systems with cultural expression. Responsive, porous, and evolving, the museum is not built once—but cultivated over time.
