Resembling a tree Hønefoss and its urban satellites ensures a consolidated ecosystem network. Each branch directs flows of urbanization and intertwining with nature. Four urban typologies will foster a functional relation to central Hønefoss, healthy communities, and a sustainable relationship to its environment. The We building as a densified one building town, the Farming community that connects housing to agricultural activity, the Forest homes as a subtle and connected intervention and the suburban toolbox relating to prevailing local typologies. These are embedded in urban spaces, agricultural land, recreational green and surrounded by “wilderness”. This urban design is complimented with a system of socio economic models to create, foster and develop healthy local communities.
