Levanger has suffered car dependence at the cost of life in the town centre. Now Levanger will strike back and become an attractive home, for people to settle down and live their lives.The public spaces acknowledge their role as important arenas for fostering the Levangsbygg of tomorrow, promoting sociability, nature, culture, activity and civic life.The town centre gives priority to pedestrians, cyclists and users of public transit. The streets are designed for low speed, creating safe and calm spaces. The development of Levanger will happen in collaboration with the citizens of the town. This philosophy of inclusion and openness will lead to better results and generate a sense of belonging. This will make Levanger the best place in Norway for children and youth to grow up and thrive!
