Project:
Leüthenhaven: place of culture
DS748 - TRONDHEIM LEÜTHENHAVEN: PLACE OF CULTURE
Our proposal for the new Trondheim Museum envisions not just a place for art, but a vibrant cultural square where memory and imagination meet. Rooted in Midtbyen, the project amplifies the city's creative energy, connecting people through shared experiences. Two complementary volumes frame an open courtyard: a flexible public building for exhibitions and events, and a discreet technical wing housing support functions. A dual-pitched roof unites them, sheltering an interior street that transitions from plaza to galleries. Timber structure, reused infrastructure, and a responsive façade reflect our environmental ethos. More than a building, it is a luminous, civic gesture where art and life converge.
