Knots and Worlds, Worlds and Knots
NP467 - TRONDHEIM KNOTS AND WORLDS, WORLDS AND KNOTS
A new museum for Trondheim, emerging from an embraced need for change, becomes both frame and forum, rooted in the city. Its architecture weaves seclusion with civicness, a layered terrain of rooms where art and life meet. Public yet quiet, structured yet loose, it invites gathering, pause, and transformation through exchanges, of ideas and encounters. The form with its thick walls and filtered light, the self-evident plan and structre, bring a quality of spaces which have a strong spatial and material character, that can make installation of art a more affecting experience for artist and audience. More than a container, it is a shifting landscape—where exhibitions coexist like islands, and the city is both viewer and subject.
