Hjertelia sustainable community
An environmental approach has been applied to the houses with its semi-buried and greenhouse cover design. The incorporated greenhouse functions as the garden of the house and its design favours a variety of spaces mixed with agriculture. The interior spaces of the house are designed to be flexible, with the possibly to change as the use change. In order to improve the thermal mass properties the house is constructed by prefabricated concrete for the structure and burned wood for the coverings.
