Haven Hjertelia
Sustainability in the broadest sense
How do we create communities which valorise natural elements and landscapes? To us, this was the ultimate goal of achieving meaningful social and ecological sustainability.
The project envisions a development that creates opportunity for everyday encounters with the landscape. By reframing local ecology and redefining connections with nature, it is possible to cultivate a healthy relationship with sustainable ways of living and develop societies that relate to short and long-term perspectives. By integrating landscape, microclimate, and ecological processes into the development of Hjertelia, the project allows access to a safe, comfortable and productive environment.
