Project:
From Fragment to Framework: Groundwork for a New Roa
MZ624 - ROA FROM FRAGMENT TO FRAMEWORK: GROUNDWORK FOR A NEW ROA
Our proposal begins not with buildings, but with economic tools: risk-sharing schemes, alternative ownership models, and local mobilisation. These instruments enable two key housing strategies—compact, central flats and transformation of existing homes—aligned with demographic change, limited budgets, and climate goals. Architecture and urban space follow, shaped by these tools into a walkable, resilient, and locally rooted new centre for Roa.
