Fagerstrand Boundaries
Proposal "Fagerstrand boundaries” envisions the post-oil era Fagerstrand as an area with sustainable boundaries for growth, resilient building stock and an inclusive community.
A clear boundary for the growth of the town is defined, in order to preserve unbuilt areas and protect biodiversity. Inside the boundary, existing infrastructure and building stock will be utilized to their full potential.
The aforementioned vision is implemented through four distinct design strategies, that include the construction of an elevated walkway through the post-industrial landscape, revitalising the productive waterfront area and envisioning new sustainable modular housing concepts for the area.
