Eco mmunity
Eco_mmunity starts with the premise of returning lost land to nature.The masterplan is adapted to contour lines, minimising effects to the ground and increasing the buildings ́ accessibility.Outdoor space is defined by pedestrian streets that run through community gardens and blends into the forest, allowing the rich local biodiversity to flourish. Both the outdoor areas and the dwellings include greenhouses that play a fundamental role in the community’s character, echoing the agricultural heritage of Hønefoss. They are an immersive experience of nature, acting as an intermediate element between home and the forest. Eco_mmunity offers a healthier and more sustainable way of living to those seeking a conscious connection to nature and _community.
