Project:
BEDROCK
PE693 - TRONDHEIM BEDROCK
BEDROCK is a cultural village inside the city that plays an active and interactive part both in the society and the arts. It is a centralising place for people to gather around and experience art in traditional and new ways. Here, everyone can observe, create and learn art, as well as socialise, relax and play amongst it. The museum offers flexible spaces both inside and out, all working in symbiosis with each other and the city.
BEDROCK transforms the former parking lot to a vibrant cultural square surrounded by public functions that are easily accessible from all directions. Curated for art installations, activities and nature, the ground between the wooden buildings steadily rises into an undulating three-dimensional square that links all functions together.
