Project:
Back? to the roots
Our proposal reinterpret traditional Norwegian rural settlements that serve to as a reference for a self-sufficient development proposal for Hjertelia. These formations interested us because they are organic integrated infrastructures closely connected with the place; because they provide a flexible model, capable of integrating different functions and activities, which can be modified over time; at last, because they are self-sufficient systems whose structure responds to the need to make the most of and reuse natural resources. For the analysis, as well as for our proposal, we have used a multiscale approach, reflecting the scale of the house, the neighborhood and the territory, since any approach that contemplates a single scale of action seemed incomplete to us.
