QC777 - LIVING COMMUNITIES

We propose to gradually create complex, adaptable and diverse neighborhoods based on a strategy of affections and proximities to the highly senstive site in the heart of Lade peninsula. The current perception of Østmarka area as a municipal and governmental services related area is replaced by a strategy based on co-existence and synergies between residential uses and the aforementioned city services. To achieve that, we propose to use the natural landscape to tighten the bonds between the different programs on the site. In this way, we are not only giving visibility and recognition to the valuable asset that the Osmarka area has, but we are also shielding it so that it will maintain the same qualities for future generations that are yet to come.
