Project:
Inclusiensen
Our idea for Grensen identifies a new system of connections, reducing vehicular space and creating new public areas. An elevated footbridge will allow linking the park with the opposite side of the city, previously divided by the Chr. Friedriks Gate road. Concerning the buildings, our approach has been to preserve, where possible, the historical footprint by making functional corrections to their restoration and introducing "additions," envisioned as "glass" spaces resembling small greenhouses, connecting certain buildings. For buildings 13-15, our proposal is to maintain the concept of an internal courtyard in direct relation to the park, achieved through the creation of an elevated terrace that will partially serve as a "platform" for the neighboring events space.
