MP162 - NOME FAR, FAR AWAY THEY SAW SOMETHING BRIGHT AND SPARKLING
Nome, with its rich industrial and natural heritage, has enormous potential for a sustainable and green future. By preserving nature and rethinking industry, the project opposes mining, advocating for a green shift based on ecological preservation and innovation. It suggests protecting the natural forests, ending clear-cutting, and using selective forestry to balance productivity with quality and biodiversity. New Wood strategies support tourism, stronger timber, and sustainable industries. By aligning economy with ecology, Nome can become a model for a thriving, livable, sustainable and meaningful future, that repairs the landscape and our relationship to it. With nature, not against it.
