Project:
Building between the lines

The project is divided in three phases, each with pivotal moments to fund and further develop the area.

Building between the Lines is a project that spans across two decades, expanding Grensen to erase the line between city and campus. The project is divided in three phases, each with pivotal moments to fund and further develop the area. Central to the project is the establishment of a NTNU full scale lab, TENT, a hub for research on heritage buildings. The project is divided in three phases:

The initial phase aims to gather interest through engaging public buildings and university functions, inviting everyone to be part of Grensen's transformation. A new NTNU lab faculty is established.

In the second phase, restoring existing buildings takes center stage, with the NTNU lab as a pivotal testing ground.

Phase 3 unifies Grensen by adding private housing to create a fully inhabited urban area.
