Project:
Bridging the gap
JG145 - BRIDGING THE GAP
The project "Bridging the Gap - Library as an Urban Connector" aims to restore the connection between Larvik's urban center and harborfront, proposing a gradual and inclusive approach with active community participation. It includes the creation of a sculpture park on Bokkerfjellet, showcasing local craftsmanship and integrating green spaces to foster exploration and pride. The waterfront will be revitalized with wooden jetties, floating saunas, and a floating theater, promoting relaxation and cultural events. Adaptive reuse of historic buildings as art galleries and studios will encourage creativity and cultural exchange. The new library, "LeseBølge," will symbolize harmony between the cliff and sea, serving as a meeting place and urban connector.
