This project reimagines Nome’s industrial park as a hybrid infrastructure, a holder of multiple discourses and values beyond mere monetary exchange. Here, the landscape itself is the transformation system. Waste is not a liability but an opportunity to sculpt a new anthropic territory—a palimpsest capable of combining industrial processes with ecological and social functions. This evolution is a choreography of the different timescales of machine, nature, and humanity, guided by a participatory process. The result is a new common place, a dynamic and productive landscape for a lasting future, turning a site of extraction into a new cultural and ecological asset for the community.
